Hello Class Five,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and ate some Easter eggs! I have enjoyed seeing some of your Easter bonnets and eggs on the school website, I can tell you put lots of effort into creating them.
During the Easter holidays, I spent some time in school. It was strange seeing our classroom so empty. It looks so tidy, we’d definitely get the Golden Bin with what it looks like at the moment! We had lots of fun playing outside and playing basketball and bowling. During my time at home over the holidays, I tried to bake some gingerbread biscuits but burnt them– ooops! I have also been making sure I go for my daily exercise and I have been picking lots of dandelions for my pets to eat. (Tortoises and rabbits love to eat dandelions!) When I haven’t been making home learning grids, I have been reading. I hope lots of you participated in the Easter reading challenge. It is also exciting to know that Mrs Marshall is continuing book club.
To keep active and healthy there are fun websites you can visit. Try BBC Super Movers for KS2 and Go Noodle. They are for a variety of ages but there are some things on there for upper KS2 children to enjoy.
I hope you are trying your best with any home learning you are doing– remember to use resources to help you if you find anything tricky. Mrs Marshall has found an interesting Time Capsule booklet for you to do. It would definitely be interesting for you to read a few years later what you had written. I wonder what would be the same and what would be different about people’s experiences at home during this time. Mrs Beavis has also found some great wellbeing activities for you to try. It is understandable to feel worried or confused when everything is different. Both the Time Capsule and the wellbeing activities will be on the website alongside your home learning activities.
I hope you are all keeping well and happy.
Lots of icing on the biscuits! Toffee, Popcorn and Rolo enjoying some dandelions.
