Monday 20th April 2020
Hello Class 6,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed your eggs – hopefully you didn’t eat too much chocolate in one go. It was great to see all the decorated eggs and Easter bonnets that were done for the competition: congratulations to Maisy and Josie for your 2nd and 3rd place decorated eggs.
You may remember that I enjoy crafts, so much of my Easter holiday was spent knitting a top for me, and I had just enough yarn left over to make a matinee coat for a relative who is expecting a baby.
I have also spent some time cooking, which has been nice. Made a delicious bean and vegetable chilli and a comforting sausage casserole. As there is only me at home, I made up the full recipes and put the extra portions in my freezer.
I hope that you enjoy the work on this week’s home learning grid. I’m so disappointed that I’m unable to teach you in person at the moment. Hopefully the algebra PowerPoint will make sense to you (as we’ve touched on algebra a few times) but if not, please don’t worry – just do as much as you can. Also, remember that the Easter Reading Race is running until the end of April, so you still have time to win a medal.
Keep safe everyone!
With love from Miss Woodward.
